Want, waaaannt.

Said in my best 3 year old whine. But could I successfully style lilac into my wardrobe? Would it work as easily as the gray I had in mind?
Should I just step away slowly or take the risk! (in 2 weeks, hee hee)

Hmmm. Could be really pretty with your berry colors. Unexpected color, but I could see it working with your wardrobe.

I think this color would work with pretty much anything you wear ... blues, olives, white, grey, yes. Brown, orange, yellow, no, but that won't bother you.
I wonder if the zipper would rub your ankle though?

I am an enabler. I have a pair of oxfords that are much more of a pink than a nude - OK - really they are pink. I find them to be a fabulous neutral and this shade of neutral looks the same to me. Very useful. Isn't this Just Say No June? hahaha

Oh yes, I could totally see these work for you, Malina.I think the colour will work with almost everything that you had intended to pair the grey booties with. Plus this lilac works great with your colouring and is super fab with lighter bottoms in Summer too.

Ooh, so far I'm bolstered by the idea of mixing them in with my colors. And I did buy 2 white jackets this last year that both would go great with a lighter bootie. And they would be lower contrast on my leg to maybe try with skirts or dresses. And YES, it is still Just say no June. Can I wait 2 weeks?? I can trrrryyyyyy. I've only been looking for mid heeled booties since, um, January.

I think if I were you I'd have to give them a try at least. I agree with the color being really good for your wardrobe and they are light enough to work in warm weather. I like the unexpected zipper and the wood heel with the lilac shade

Truth be told, these are already sold out in this color. I found a lone pair. That's part of what has my trigger finger itching.
Shannon, good point about FL heat and wearing them. Although, with a light ped sock maybe they would be fine, and not sweaty at all. I do believe our FL stay may not last all summer after all. More on that Off Topic maybe later.

Yes, part of my quandary was deciding on the 'fun' color or the practical black. This way I don't have to decide. I almost never duplicate, so it speaks to how much I'm head over heels (ha heels) with this style. Man, I've been looking for a bootie with a little pizazz that's not over designed for ev er.

Ooh, I like. I think you might be able to treat these like a quasi-nude or neutral-for-you. (The same way my mustard gladiators or gold oxfords are somewhat neutral on me, even though they don't blend into my foot or anything.) And I think most of the colors you tend to like to wear won't clash.
