Mo, my bright blue faux suede Chinese Laundry booties bought on a whim for $23 were on of my best buys. Although higher heeled than my other more expensive true leather booties, they are more comfortable. I hope you have the same luck!
FWIW, I was reading/watching some style blogger the other night, and she pointed out the difference in outfits that used *safe* basic colors of shoes and bags like black, vs. color or even other neutrals like caramel -- and the non-black added so much pizzazz (writes the gal who has a purple bag on the way and opted out from ordering the charcoal one, lol).
