Another quick post and run.
I feel terrible for posting these less-than-fab photos, but the only avaliable full lenght mirror at work is in the basement of the old building...

Anyhow.. I tried styling a more modern silhouette: layers, volume, textures and an added kimono-style belt. Not sure I succeeded. Dressing and style certailny is a form of art! The skirt is leather, and actually a dress. The sweater is from COS a couple of seasons ago.

Great fall colors, and double layering-how did you feel yourself wearing it? I like it on you, but could certainly do only one layer for my chicken self and not so perfect body and age!:-) Especially love that hi low sweater with the wide belt half on and half underneath. Great ideea!!

I’m loving the fall colors of this I’d like to see what it would look like if you took away the skirt and wore a leather black belt in the pants loops instead, the black does go very well with the orange sweater and green pants.

Smashing outfit - so interesting, architectural and modern. Really like how you’ve belted the sweater and the addition of pants with dress combo.
The only thing that I would suggest is pants in the same color as the dress for more streamlined effect and I would wear this with low heel ankle boots - again to connect the pants with the footwear and avoid horizontal lines there.

This reminds me of cooking shows, where they get a bunch of ingredients that leave me scratching my head as I can’t begin to imagine how the tastes could possibly work together. Then they get cooking and cutting and grinding and voila! They have something wonderful and tasty, something I never would’ve thought of. Seriously, the description kind of made sense to me, sort of, but then I saw the finds for the dress & pants and really couldn’t picture it. Well don’t go pull them all out of your closet for this!

One teeny caveat—if you belt it like that, I’m not sure “volume” is the right word.
