On my recent trip to Nepal, I admired ladies’ kurtas or shalwar kameez (Indian-style long split tunic over leggings or harem pants) and thought: that looks so functional, I kinda want to wear that all the time.
Today I gave it a whirl. In black! I know, I know, I’m trying to get away from black but this is what I had in my closet. At least it’s black leavened with fall colors and lots of white patterns. The bag has a woolly texture to make it feel cozier than the pleather leggings and plastic earrings would imply.
I thought the proportions were interesting and functional on a windy day (thus, please excuse the very messy hair). But happiness factor was low because I was freezing. Much colder weather than expected and the layers are all synthetic fabrics- not warm at all!
Do you sometimes do very long over lean? Dress over pants?
