My weekend in Vegas was a lot of fun. I didn't end up shopping at all - I decided my current discomfort with how I look and feel (due to my medical woes) makes it pointless to buy anything that may or may not fit post-surgery. I could barely squeeze into the jeans I brought, though, and it was not as warm as I'd hoped, plus the casinos are always freezing.
But the worst was my shoes! I'd brought a new pair of Miz Mooz citron flat sandals which felt supremely comfy at home, and a new replacement pair of my silver London Rebel loafers, as well as the faux Rockstuds. What I failed to realize is that my feet are not used to being barefoot in shoes for hours, and within a day of endless walking I was in awful pain, had horrible blisters and a crack in my heel. My legs hurt from limping!
Luckily there was a Sketchers store across the street and DH ran over and got me a pair of some comfy slip-on sneakers in grey with little ankle socks that made walking bearable. I even wore them with my dresses because I couldn't get my swollen feet into the Rockstuds or the loafers.
Anyway, lesson learned. I should have brought my practical but not sexy Jambus and just been glad to be comfy. Sigh....
