This is similar to what I wear most days. This outfit happens to differ in the pants, as I often wear wide leg jeans. These are sheeting, not as heavy a fabric as chino or twill, so a bit cool for the actual weather. They’re paper bag style with elastic all around, so I sewed a stable facing in the fronts to keep the elastic from stretching out when I put my hands in my pockets. It worked great since the pants are loose and still plenty of elastic stretch in the back.
The shirt is Tommy Hilfiger and not my favorite because it’s red. I like the print. It might be a bit large even though it’s my regular size.
The sweater is Old Navy. I’ve worn and washed this several times. It started out too big but washing did the trick. It’s just the right kind of cozy. I also have a gray one which I haven’t worn yet.
But if I switch to jeans, a different button shirt and either this or another cardigan, I bet you’d recognize my style, I call it retired-artsy-casual, kind of intentionally devil-may-care. I’ve never settled on a fashion moniker, but I feel I can define it by sight.
