Well, all good things must come to an end, I suppose. I’m writing this from Frankfurt as we await our connecting flight back home. The trip was amazing, but it’s time to head back.
A few more outfit pics if you can stand them! These are from our time in Santorini.
1-2: a linen Untucked dress. Easy and breezy for exploring Fira on our first day. I paired them with leather sandals (Birks do not work well on my feet, but these wanna-bes did the trick) for daytime walking and then swapped them with my navy Tory Burch sandals for dinner out
3. White shorts paired with a red and white striped top (doesn’t look red/white in the photo). Worn over a bathing suit for a catamaran cruise
4. My absolute fave cover up - Trina Turk
5-6: Easy dinner out in a maxi camo strapless dress that I wore as a skirt and black tank. Camo seems likes it’s everywhere in the states, but not so much here. Extra shot of me living the rough life watching the sun set with a glass of wine on our little balcony.
7-8: the green jumpsuit came out to play again on a daytime tour of the island and our last dinner out. The color doesn’t really come through here. I felt super fab in this all day! Very swooshy and fun to wear. Second pic is closer to the actual color. Paired with my Born sandals that are getting pretty tired and need to be replaced.
All in all, I didn’t do a terrible job packing. There aren’t too many items I didn’t wear but I probably could have done a better job of wearing items more than once. However, it was SO hot, especially here in Santorini (yesterday the heat index was 95 with a ton of humidity) that I was glad for fresh items. I also wore all of my shoes more than once except for the heels (those stay home next time) and two pairs of sneakers. Given the heat, I mostly opted for comfy sandals over sneakers.
Echoing the others who have traveled this part of the world recently: no heels to speak of unless they were platforms or wedges. Lots of sneakers! I saw a woman in stilettos on the cobblestone streets and she literally couldn’t walk without help. All I could envision was a twisted ankle before the evening was done!
Cheers and thanks for bearing with me! Now hoping I can actually sleep on the flight home and get somewhat reset to Seattle time.
