DH and I spent the past week vacationing at our favorite place in the wide world - a small town, Sackets Harbor NY, that sits on Lake Ontario. Sackets is about 30-45 minutes from the Thousands Islands Bridge/Canadian border. It's a picturesque village rich in War of 1812 history with cute shops, fabulous restaurants, and lots and lots of boating and water sport activities.
Not really much to show in the way of WIWs, as it was an extremely casual week. I did wear the Leith woven track pants a lot for evenings out to dinner, but I don't have any pictures. And almost all of my pics include our dog Cosmo, who loved his vacation just as much as we did!
And the definition of Harbor Hair: What happens to your hair when it's hot and humid in a harbor town - aka frizzy hair! I finally gave up and just let my hair go curly and do its thang.
Pic 1 - Taken on the Battlefield with Lake Ontario behind us. I'm wearing the KUT Catherine's, Loft sunwashed boatneck tee, Jessica Simpson distressed denim vest.
Pics 2, 3, and 4 - We drove up to Alexandria Bay (Thousand Islands, St. Lawrence Seaway), in pic 2 Boldt Castle is behind me. I wore my True Religion Brianna's and a loose fitting top from the Loft. I rolled up the Brianna's during the day and wore them unrolled for dinner that night.
Pic 5 - Back in Sacket's Harbor, taken in front of one of our favorite eateries. I'm wearing a loose fitting banded bottom top from the Loft and shorts from Target.
Pic 6 - Out for some walking at a nearby state park. Top and shorts both from the Loft.
Pics 7 - 10 - Out for dinner and watching the sunset over the lake. This was my version of a blogger photo from Running in Wedges that Rae posted a while back. Instead of a rocker tee shirt, my tee is of the canal schooner Lois McClure (hey this is a harbor town, and on the back of the tee the historic schooner's tour dates are listed!). I'm also wearing my black maxi and my Jessica Simpson distressed vest. Pic 8 shows my studded sandals, and pic 9 is the cute purse I picked up at the Can-Am Festival. Cosmo's Old Navy water bowl also got in the picture - he's a stylish pup! Pic 10 is the blogger inspiration photo.
Pic 11 - Me and Cosmo with Lake Ontario in the background. I've had these shorts from Kohl's for about 5 yrs., but the banded bottom top is new from the Loft.
