...and came home with a new dress. It is Calvin Klein and it got me with a graphic white and black design. The fabric is nice to the touch and drapes well as well. I took size 12 to the dressing room and it was just a bit snug in the hips - not enough to pull across but enough so that it would ride up when walking. I was considering if my mom can let out side seams a bit...when I decided to check the rack again and here it was - one size up. (it was Winners so sizing is very sporadic). I got it as a sign and it came home with me.
It is too big in the chest and back but my mom can fix it - the main thing is it skims the hips without any pulling and does not ride up when I walk.
I can wear in in winter with the jacket or layered over t-neck or a shirt and I can wear it in summer when it is not too hot - or in A/C office.
Tell me what you think! Is this black stripe across the chest cool and graphic or silly and distracting.
I also received a package with my Gap order today. Both pairs of white jeans were a bust but these Pink Cameo broken-in straight khakis intrigued me. I don't have any pair of long casual and lightweight pants for summer and I was curious to try this pastel color. The color is a bit more pink than I though but still soft.
On the left is a smaller size (1 up), on the right is a bigger size (2 up). Which is better or is the whole idea is crazy and I need to return both?
Please set me straight! BTW slant pockets will be sewn shut if I keep a pair so don't let this to affect your opinion
ETA: after I ordered them I created the whole Pinterest board of blush pants for inspiration.
