I wanted to give a wuick update on the bag I had wine stains on. (Earlier post: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....on-leather )

I asked around and the last option was the shoe cobbler I always go to.

They tried to clean the leather was red wine really penetrated into the soft leather. So they suggested painting it for $45. Since I like the bag and it was a gift from hubby, I decided to give it a try just to see what they can do. I was really surprised when I picked it up today.

It actually came out the same color and it doesn't look too bad. They mixed the colors to match the color of the bag. This leather was really special before so the soft feel is gone a bit, but it's not sticky or rubbing of on my clothes after trying to rub it for a minute. I don't think it would last a long time , but it gave this bag another season of life.

Overall, I recommend this only if you have stained a much loved handbag you can't part with.
