In November I asked for help in my search for leggings with long inseams. I wanted to post an update since my search might be helpful for others.

As I updated on my original post, I ordered the Madewell leggings (find 1) and ended up keeping them. I feel a bit regretful about that decision given what other options I have found since. On the plus side they are the heaviest, most 'smooth out the bumps' fabric of all the leggings I've tried. On the minus they're not particularly long, around 30-31". So far I've worn them around the house as loungewear and can imagine wearing them with boots so the length doesn't matter.

The second pair were the ones I mentioned in my Violeta/Mango review - also kept. They are thinner than I might wish but are about 32" and should be useful in summer.

The third pair I tried were the Old Navy ponte leggings someone recommended. These did not work for me - the rise was too high and the waist came up to partway up my ribcage. I have this problem frequently with talls - my legs are long but my waist-hip is not. They got returned. If you're more of an apple/rectangle with a long rise this would be a good option.

The fourth pair, which just arrived today, are from Asos and came in a 34" length, which is the longest I've seen anywhere other than Long Tall Sally. The price can't be beat and the quality seems quite nice. Again, they're a little thin but not so much they're unwearable - I'll only be wearing these under tunics and skirts anyway. These are from the Asos Curve line which starts at a size 14. I assume Asos has a smaller sizes equivalent in tall but haven't searched for it.

The last pair has been ordered from Gap (find 5) but I've been waiting a week for them to be shipped (anyone else have super-slow mailing times from ON/Gap/BR this holiday season?). Given my current budget unless they are the best leggings ever they're getting returned.

My ideal pair would have the length of the Asos and the fabric of the Madewell. But failing that, I am happy with what I have for the moment.

And with that report completed, I plan on not buying leggings for a long time.
