I was so wowed by the entire colour story (all the items) that I didn't really focus too much on the boots! I think they'll certainly work, especially as footwear (and especially if comfortable) because somehow the colour on one's feet can be a bit duller than the colour near one's face. Still, you may find they clash when you try it all on.
Can't wait for the verdict!

I love how you mix shades of color. I look forward to seeing your outfits!

Fabulous colors and combinations - love!

Well I love them. And that fit is hard to find.

Tincy tiny suggestion. If the colour is a little dull for your taste you could tweak it by applying a Tarrago metallic shoe cream. It might brighten them up a bit. I applied a bronze cream to these brown boots (which were a little darker than I wanted) and it warmed and brightened them up nicely.

Beautiful boots…great color….for me, i see them with your blues…but then you and i are not on the same color Spectrum. Waiting to see how they look IRL with the reds, pinks, burgundy’s.

FINAL UPDATE = KEEP: I created one outfit with the new Merlot boots and knew they were keepers. They also perfectly match a very old belt. VERY comfy and tailored with a '60s vibe. YES!

As long as I don't wear the merlot boots in an earthy way - they will feel right for my style.

My left arm is sore so I'm not going gung-ho on the outfit creation session today. But I've had burgundy boots before, so they integrate easily. I still have most of the capsule!

TONAL for Katerina's challenge too

Stunning outfit, Angie! Also a perfect entry for the tonal reds in color challenge. So glad the boots work for you and match an old belt. Hope your arm improves soon.

Thanks, sweet Tanya. Off to rest my arm.

Omg, soooo fab! I had a feeling they would be keepers. Love your outfit!!

Way to go!

That's a beautiful outfit!! I had a feeling they would work in a tonal way. I don't think the colours need to match exactly.

LOVE those new RL pants on you -- spectacular! Altogether a stunning look.

Love them on you, and what a lovely combination with the other red shades! I had a feeling they would work — sometimes you just need a color a bit more subtle but tonal to complete a look!

Happy to eat my words Angie, they work fantastically and have a lot more depth when the light plays on them

Wow, fantastic red and burgundy, excellent tonal, love, love sooo much. You look very happy in that combination which makes it even More beautiful.

Looking great! What a great tonal look.

Oh very good! I agree they don’t look dull with those brights.

OOOOH. Looks wonderful! Glad they worked out!

Yikes, take care! Looks great! I love the idea of giving one of your older bags new life.

Oh, Angie, this is perfection! This is how tonal red should be done. I LOVE this outfit and want the whole thing, please! Seriously, I am taking notes how to do this - have many red and burgundy items, but never seem to get it quite right.
The boots look fabulous and will be fantastic in many of your outfits. I am so glad you are keeping them.

Thanks, everyone! I'm not doing a good job of resting my arm

Jules and Jenni, thanks for the open mind!

Suz and Janet, you are right about mismatched tones and shades that CAN work well together.

cat2, bag AND old belt!

Katerina, it is US who need to take notes from YOU

Brooklyn, nice tip. Thanks.

YAY! These are so perfect!!!

Oh, these are fantastic. And you are an absolute master of mixing tones of red and pink together. It looks so intentional and harmonious when you wear these colors, whereas I feel I can never get it quite right. Thank you for the outfit ideas, and the boots were a fantastic buy!

Fantastic! Your outfit is a utter delight. Every time I read someone claiming neutrals are the way to look sophisticated I think of you as the perfect counterpoint.

Glad to hear and sorry about your arm! I love that they match your belt and complete this tonal look!

Really great color mixing. Yay for comfy boots!
Now rest that arm!

Yay! Great outfit!

Do glad you are keeping them!
