Uniqlo + WIW (Native Wear!)

On my way to the bookstore, after a detour to H&M (my bad, but it was there!), I got a wonderful surprise! (pic #1) Uniqlo is opening a store this fall on my side of bay!!! Y'all don't know how happy I am to avoid the city. I am sooooooo happy!!!

Ok. Now I know y'all have also been missing the Bay Area Native Wear installments. Here is today's outfit (pics #2 & 3). I am wondering if I'm too old for this outfit. I mean, to be honest, the last time I saw mid-calf Converse boots, they were being worn by an 11-yr-old.

Pic #4 - this is an old Target skirt I'm considering purging. My colleague complimented it, but I am turning against short skirts and showing knee like a little girl. What say you, keep or toss? (The Yay or Nay is for the skirt.)

OK, take this w a grain of salt, but I'm saying toss on the skirt because I think yes, it is a little juvy. If it were a pencil I'd be on board, but the a-line plus is it eyelet? plus it being mid-thigh, even though you have the legs for it...I think you'd look better in a straighter version of this skirt.

I don't think yer too old for the cons, and I like the cool factor.

Just what Jenava said. The skirt seems too young although you have great legs, but I think the Cons work for your style. They remind me of Angie's Highness pair.

I like the mid-calf Cons, especially the way you've styled them with leggings and a dress/tunic.
I vote nay on the skirt. I'd like to see something a little more flowy with that gorgeous top (which I love on you), and I think the skirt is a little too "cute" for your style.

P.S. I had to look up Uniqlo. I can see why you're excited to have one opening near you soon! (Fall is almost here, too.) Looks like some great clothing at very good prices.

I think the skirt depends on the context. For something really casual and outdoors when it's hot, I think it would be nice, because your legs look great in it. I know it doesn't often get hot where you live. Like if you went to a fair or a dog show or something, or a family reunion in the park. It would be so cute and more stylish than shorts.

Maybe the Uniqlos are sort of seeping East and we'll have one soon in the Central Valley? No, didn't think so.

I feel like Sailor Moon in this skirt. It isn't eyelet, but it *is* really stiff. On a tangent, it occurs to me - I hope my Marc Jacobs plain black wool A-line skirt still works. I haven't worn it in awhile.

Anyways, so far the Nay's are in the lead. I'm leaning that way, considering my hot weather capsule is pretty defined (which is really good idea tho, Adelfa, and I'm thinking about it).

well, if you're not feeling it, you're not feeling it - the shorter skirt. You sure do look great to my eyes in those proportions, though. You look like a dancer.

Love the cons -- they suit you. And I admire your great legs! I think you can still wear shorter skirts, but I would try sleeker looks.

Love the cons on you, especially with the dress. I think they are quirky and old school legit. I don't see this height on many kids, so I don't think it's turned into a Little Kid Look.

The skirt, I don't think it looks like you for some reason. Voting to pass on.

Keep the cons, purge the skirt. After seeing you look oh so fab in the tube skirt, this one does not do you justice. A little Anime" and yes maybe Sailor Moon maybe?
Where is the Uniqlo sighting? Curious to check one out!

I think the skirt is fine, lovely legs, and it's quirky with a girlish vibe, which is how I think of you.

The tall Converses are good, I don't think there's an age limit on those. I sense a spacefaring vibe in #2, can you pair the Cons with a Lycra jumpsuit perhaps? I'm serious.

Still...it does read as a bit girlish. So...if you have doubts, expunge.
