Ok, maybe love is too strong a word here, but I do like this dress and feel ok in it.   It’s ridiculously hot and windy here today -not much feels comfortable , but this actually does with Jockey slip shorts underneath . I bought this last summer from Nordstrom, on sale , along with one other from Treasure and Bond. I was having a "I need to copy Kellygirl" moment or two.  Anyways, the other dress  (T&B) was abysmal , too small, too unflattering and so horrible.  I am not Kelly.  This one - their Chelsea label - didn't fit either, although it was the better of the two. I was so tired of all the ordering and returning I was doing then, that I put these away for a future give-away. Just could not face going to the DHL drop off one.more.time.  Fast forward to today, when I pulled them out. I'm about 8-10 lbs down from last summer .Grey cheap T&B still looked horrible, still disheartening . Chucked it in my donate bag. But this one - I actually like! It came with two side ties meant to allow the wearer to pick up the longer side panel (it's asymmetrical) and tie it across the hips. This looks bizarre  - because, duh, I'm not built like the 5'10" 110 lb model.   Cut the ties off, knotted it, and because my self-confidence is at an all-time low right now, asked my daughter for her opinion.  Two thumbs up from her. So - here I go, off to an appointment.   I know my arms aren't those of a workout warrior anymore - thanks Covid - but I am vowing to just get on with it .    Life is too short to be worrying about being judged for your arms.  I'd also like to change my bra for something with more side support - but ran out of time .  Man it takes so  long to get everything organized these days!
