Thanks all!
Anna, MMM for H&M seems entirely up your alley. I didn't make it to the launch. I stumbled into the store in the late afternoon looking for something else, totally forgetting the launch. They still had several sizes in this navy jacket, but fewer of the gray. $129. Just sayin', there may be something worthwhile in the stores still. I don't think that most folks "got" the idea behind MMM here in PDX at least. Although, I have to admit, when the SA handed me a disposable plastic bag to go with my purchase (not to carry it--they're banned here in PDX after all) and explained that it could be transformed into a tank top, I laughed myself silly. Haven't they seen Zoolander?
<softly, with awe> I call it Derelicte...
Shannon, Lacy Pencil Skirt, this pencil skirt outfit is right up you alley. Without a doubt. I can't wait to see your take on it, 'cause I know you are gonna. Oh good golly! And your houndstooth sweater with a pencil like this...Oh goodness, I'm going to faint thinking how fabulously you are going to rock that look!
I think everyone else's points on outfit #2 are right on. Nothing bold enough going on there. Just a simple, classic look. I disliked it with tan and brown trousers because they were so low contrast, low tension. Black helped, but not enough.
Beth Ann, I kept thinking how much better it would look with jeans, so your point really resonates. Next time? Same top or maybe a button down plus jeans plus boots! Brilliant!
