It is finally summer in The Netherlands. Finally. Gosh, did we long for this. Being notorious complainers we immediately started wining about the high temperatures. LOL
This time I am showing you my tuxedo, which I call a smoking suit for women. The temperature has to be just right for wearing this: not to cold (flimsy trousers) and not too hot (jacket). As far as I am concerned wearing it, does not depend on a special occasion. I don't like to keep good clothes in the closet for that. Every day I am alive and healthy is reason to party. And I don't mind trying to look my best. If that means I am overdressed, fine. I rather be overdressed than underdressed. A matter of taste, I know.

Greetje, you mentioned that in one of my blog comments that you don't like the wear flats because you think they look unflattering. Yet you also proudly mention that you were blessed with a long and shapely leg line - YES!!! I agree!!! You lucky lass!!! You have magnificent legs!!! So I'm curious to know what it is about flats that you feel don't work for you?

As a firm member of Team Dressy, I applaud you. Your style is fabulous and I love this outfit. I was the most dressed up at church today wearing my Easter suit because the weather was cool enough for the jacket. May you be blessed with many more good summer days.

This is perfect and so flattering! I don't thinks this is overdressed for urban living. Changing out to a more casual sandal or shoe would be an easy way to dress it down, if you are so inclined. I find pumps really elevate most outfits to a new level of polish, which is so aptly proven here.

Rae: this is why I want to laugh a lot and make other people laugh. I think that is one of the nicest things on earth.
Angie: I have very flat feet. When I do wear flats, I wear support soles in them. Probably also because of my very low instep, my feet look very long and strange with flat shoes. Some flats like wide ballerina's are not so bad, but I only wear them because I have to give my feet a rest from time to time. And for walking through town for a longer stretch of time. Do you remember the Belgian cartoon woman Tante Sidonia? If you do I need not say more.

Greetje, I have tried a number of times to get to this thread today lol. This is a fabulous outfit. And amen to wearing our "good" clothes and not saving them. You have such amazing long legs, and the length of the jacket really compliments them. The proportions are perfect.

I was pretty sure I had already commented on this thread, your outfit is fun, the jacket and the shoes really lift it up for me.

But apart from loving what you wear and your philosophy, I must say that I adore the fact you added the last photo for our amusement because it shows your sense of fun. As does that great fence of (?) your garden or shed

The team thing on the forum has come from Angie's posts from time to time asking us if we on one "team" or another and such questions have helped many of us define our style.
If one is on Team Wear, it means you want to wear your new items right away rather than save them. A Team Dressy person is more at home in dressier outfits than casual ones, while Team Casual is, well, comfortable in casual and probably tries to work casual elements even into office wear, for example.

Ornella, this is the garden shed of my neighbour and friend Anja, who's style is: more is more. She is very creative.
Joy: I don't think I will ever be in a Wear category. I love dressy, office, casual, classic and modern. Hmm.. Perhaps Wear would fit. I do want to wear something straight after buying. Which is why I don't like buying too far ahead. Thank you very much for taking the trouble to explain it.

I was plucking weed while Anja took the photos saying: "I'd rather pluck this weed than having to photoshop them out of sight in each photo. And she could not resist taking that bum picture. I thought it was funny and decided to make you laugh too.
