JulieJohn, that is indeed a buckle. Thank you for your kind & thoughtful words!
Suz, thanks for weighing in. I felt great despite the mirror because I was belting and (sort of) tucking again.
Ceit, thank you! You'll see more of me in trousers come spring/warm weather as I work out how to wear the corduroys to my satisfaction (belting, tucking, semi-tucking, untucked).
E, nice to see you, too! I love reading your comments. I'm going to get a bunch of Jane Eyre movies from the library this week since I haven't seen all the versions. Thank you for your comments on fit.
And yes, I have indeed found baby's season - or pretty nearly. I love figuring out friends'/family members' seasons, which some graciously put up with. I hauled out his sister's clothes, which are light summer & warm autumn, along with daddy's soft summer and random winter/spring girl clothes. It was a lot of fun "draping" him - plop big clothes over tiny baby, lean back, hmm, throw into bad-tolerable-he looks great piles. Hehe. Can't tell I'm obsessed with seasons. He's either soft summer like daddy or warm spring (blue eyes, fair complexion, red toned light brown hair). I'm leaning toward spring, unusual for a boy - bright purple/navy looked great, as did light & medium gray. Daddy's shades (yours) were decent. I'll have fun trying to find nice colors for him in the boy's section (and no doubt get laughed at a lot by family)!
