Ok, a week ago was surgery to help with a bad hallux rigidus situation that had progressively prevented me from wearing most heels and pumps. Literally, felt like I was walking with a golf ball inside my foot at all times. Lasted an hour, I was out, it went very fast and very very well, minimum pain, but... now whole foot black and blue, of course, and air cast. For two weeks. (Then, said the doctor just before the operation as a calming intravenous solution had been installed through my arm, It will be large shoes pretty much throughout the rest of Spring and summer... "and you should be back in normal shoes right in time for fall" (Whaaaaaaat?). At least I can dance again in 6 weeks.

I've iced my foot pretty dutifully and must report minimal swelling. So I may have a chance to wear heels on my 50th this summer.

I'm trying to make the most out of it. Here is my interpretation of trying to incorporate aircast bootie into my style. WIW to teach this week and to a Easter friendly gathering tonight.

Pic 1: with black leather moto trying to be badass
Pics 2-3: with a more classic cropped zip-up jacket (which I ended up wearing)
Pics 4-5: WIW tonight. I matched the bootie's grey hue to a heeled patent pump, it was a success, people thought it was pretty funny.
