kkards - thank you for the feedback. I love the gilet, it makes everything I put it with that much better. I have Angie and YLF to thank for this piece that is a brilliant wardrobe refresher.
April - unfortunately, it was too hot to wear the wrap outfit, so I just tried it on to see if I could make it work. To be honest, I also worry about how fussy this could be. I am not the sort of person who can throw on a fab scarf and it stays put, looking immaculate all day, they move on me too. I do like the idea of this outfit for travelling, particularly in a plane where I often get cold and am not moving around much.
Smittie & LisaP- thank you for the honest feedback. I felt that it was too much like a denim suit and would definitely swap out the jeans for a different colour (probably black or white). This did feel 'matchy' and I all I needed for my denim to be acid wash and I would be reliving some of my 80's fashion nightmares! Glad you like the black and white outfit - the striped pants feel like track pants, so great for running around on the weekend.
Angie - what gorgeous comments, you have literally made my day, I cannot stop smiling! Thank you, I love being part of YLF and you are a wonderful inspiration.
JAileen - Olive Oyl is so much fun and this wrap is always a good piece on a cold winter's day (so I have a few months until then)!
Summer - I have had the red boots for a couple of years and not really worn them nearly as much as my other boots. Suz looks so great in her red boots, so I am hoping this fall and winter to get into them much more. I am glad that you like them.
TracyLiz65 - Thanks for the feedback and I will wear the wrap with monochrome outfit - it is nice to have a variety of toppers, and if I hadn't posted these, I am sure that I would not have thought of this combination, I often default to my dressy puffers and then feel a bit bored in winter that I always look the same.
Brooklyn - you are too kind and glad you like the gilet, as I see this being worn a lot over Autumn and Winter. Whilst I am sad that you have a denim jacket with tags on, I am glad that I am not the only one that these don't work for! I don't like denim on denim on me either. I see it on JCrew and think it looks fab and then when I try it, it feels flat. I think the red boots could be fun with jeans and the gilet.
JenniNZ - you are very wise to know your style and not buy something that is not you. I am glad that you like the last outfit, I wasn't too sure about the pants (given my pear shape, I often wear dark bottoms) - but I think the stripe helps to make them more slimming. Anyway, I do like the concept of 'just flattering enough' because it gives me the freedom to wear clothing that I enjoy and not always be tied into wearing what is most flattering.
