I have eyed these booties for YEARS, and since I am in the market for one or two pairs of low-heeled, refined booties, I decided to finally order them.

My usual size(s) were sold out, but I had read in a couple of places that they run small, so I tried the 9. They have extra room at the end of the toe, but with an insole and normal thickness of socks, I can’t tell that these are not my usual size. I can see how these would suit a slightly low-volume and/or narrow foot.

They don’t have zippers but pull on quite easily. The stretch shaft does gape a bit on my ankle, but I don’t think that bothers me as I anticipate wearing them with jeans and pants. In the closeup photos, the gap is exaggerated because I have to bend my knees to lean down and take the photos. When I straighten up, it’s not as obvious, especially from the front. I’ve included photos with my pants legs hiked up so you can see the ankle fit.

They are very comfy for me straight out of the box. I like them so much I’m tempted to go ahead and wear them today. As you can see, I’m debuting the Kut plaid pants from NAS, paired with my old CM grey chambray shirt and long black vest. Team Wear is calling me!

They’re expensive, so I don’t want to be blinded by my love for them. But I don’t anticipate wearing these with skirts and dresses (I have other boots for that purpose, and I rarely wear skirts or dresses in boot weather anyway), so a little looseness at the ankle does not seem like a deal breaker to me.

What do you think?
