Anne- cute jacket! Is that an inner placket /fake front on the jacket? I'd be tempted to tuck in or wear a less fitted top with it if you want something below the hem of the jacket. Just me though ...

Thanks Lisa, not sure about if it's an inner placket. I was uncertain about what top to wear. First one I tried competed at the neckline. This one is quite loose actually, but drapes. I can try tucking.

That color *is* beautiful on you. Makes me wonder now about the cool reds you said you prefer...in my experience nobody is flattered by both warm and cool tones.

Really cute with the white jeans. May I suggest wearing a cami or tank under the dotted top if you want to wear the jacket open? White fabric can be more transparent than we realize.

Laura, I am not sure about the colour now - I said rust, but perhaps it's more faded red? It doesn't look quite accurate on my monitor, and on the previous thread many people said it looked coral, which it definitely isn't. As for warm colours, I think I'm alright in clear orange, but anything to murky or yellowed isn't a good look with my olive (or in winter, sallow) complexion.

Maybe people better just comment on the style rather than the colour!

Joy - yes I know. I realised once I saw the picture (on the bus). However I wore the jacket, and buttoned up, all day. I much prefer buttoning up my jackets anyway, and I'd go so far as to say that a jacket has got to work done up, because I'd unconsciously button it.

What a great jacket Anne! I love it with the white BF jeans. I can't tell if the colour is coral or rust but it is very pretty.

I like this Anne! The spots are cute I love the colour of the jacket, and it looks refreshed with the white jeans. And while I like the spotted top, I can also see the potential for a black top too.

I agree white jeans are a winner with this jacket. I like the dots and how they subtly play off the buttons in #1.

Yay! I'm glad you didn't cull the jacket! I like it with the white jeans, but I think I may wear it with a white top, rather than spots.
