We just took a trip to the coast, and I had fun putting a vacation capsule together; I LOVED my travel wardrobe. These are all outfits that I’ll wear again throughout early fall at home.

I didn’t have exact outfits picked out so much as mix-and-match stuff where I could think of several potential outfits for each piece I brought along, and ability to adapt.

We weren’t sure what the weather was going to be like - it rained on the way there and back, and was moderate/cool but dry and sunny on our full days there, and got windier (thus, increasingly cooler) later in the day.

Activities included walking on sandy (compact, at low tide) beaches and boardwalks, popping into local shops/cafes/breweries, and exploring farmer’s markets. I brought a rain jacket and light windbreaker that both were in use. I rotated between comfortable low heeled booties and old sneakers that were more beach-friendly. I layered shirts, jackets, scarves. I used the same waxed canvas crossbody bag that’s been my casual staple all year.
