I'm pretty sure these area keep, but I'm looking to the wise forum for a reality check.
Pros: They fit! (Note to self: size up with TopShop shoes); they are comfortable (maybe not for extreme long wear, but I could wear them right now and for several hours, I'm pretty sure); great looking; not expensive ($140); new shape and new color and new material for my bootie collection; on trend color that works so well with all of my navy/ink (see Angie's blog post of today).
Cons: Probably hot due to patent? And how long will they be current? On the other hand, all of my booties are newish -- none are more than 2 years old, with the single exception of my suede heeled Cole Haans which may be 3 or 4, but I wear them rarely. So longevity with booties, which I wear a lot in the fall/winter, may not be a big issue.I wear them hard and then replace them.
I've styled the Marys here rather quickly with what was on hand -- meaning not a lot of true fall/winter things (it's hot and humid today). (Note: personally, I love how they look with the Haute Hippie dress -- I actually decided to return the Vince lemming dress.) Sorry to cut off my head -- just came in from working out. No one needs to see that.
And finally, my bootie capsule. I could still be lured by a well-priced pair of black chelseas but the capsule feels pretty complete. (Note the black heeled suede are out getting "refreshed" for the season.) If I keep these, I won't buy dressy black leather booties ... I will alternate between these patents and the suede to fill that hole, and I think that will work.
So ... keep?
