Nice ideas, Jules and FashIntern, about bags and shoes! Casual lifestyle going on over here with an occasional need to look pulled together for meetings. This sounds like a way to go.
Because at least three men at the meeting joked about needing to put on pants I know I'm not the only one feeling awkward about post-stay-at-home dressing. Hitting the right amount of polish when people are still zooming in sweats (and I know many are grieving pandemic losses) feels like a dilemma.
Sometimes I've worn an unbuttoned linen shirt as a topper but that wouldn't have felt right for yesterday - too casual.
Bella, that's a sweet structured dress. It's something I'd can definitely picture having worn pre-pandemic. Now. I would not wear, for reasons that feel hard to put my finger on.
Tanya, yes! the jackets you've shown above are exactly what I wished I had yesterday and didn't. Because this type of meeting for me is infrequent, I am loath to spend on wardrobe for it. However it happens often enough that I need something. Wondering if there's a magic catch-all jacket?
Star, I am with you.
