Top 2 Ways: Semi-tucked and Untucked

Just a simple example for anyone interested in seeing a simple top worn untucked and semi-tucked for comparison. I will wear it both ways depending on the heat. The silk top is very lightweight and comfortable, perfect for our hot summers. The jean shorts are one of two pair I took the scissors to after YLF inspiration. I like how I can roll them to suit my mood and I love how they are not as baggy or bulky on my thighs as my BF shorts, which are great too, but I'm liking a bit more streamlined short right now.

Thanks Carole, Ceit, Angie - I prefer the semi-tucked too. I'm hoping the untucked is JFE to wear when it's really hot. And thanks Angie re the shorts - I should have done this a lot sooner (cut my own I mean).

Fabulous on you! So glad the top worked out - it's perfect both ways, in my opinion! Slight preference for semi-tuck but on a super hot day, the untucked is best. Love the sandals, too.

Your top is beautiful, I like how you are wearing it with casual shorts, the colors go so well together. Both versions look good, second one best for air flow

Semi tucked all the way! You did a great job on those shorts. Did you hem the edges? I have some older AG flared jeans that I never wear and think they might make decent shorts.

Great colors and print on that shirt. Add me to the semi tuck team, but I totally hear you on untucked for those hot days - and we don't get nearly as hot here! Love the sandals and shorts too Did you cut your hair?

neonginger- thanks! I did not hem the shorts. I started to, but then realized that it would add extra bulk on the roll and I didn't want that. I made sure I cut them long enough to hem and still be a long short (just in case I changed my mind later) and for now I just trim the minor long frayed bits after washing. I'd just say keep in mind that the leg will fit a bit more snug once rolled than when it does as a jean.

pil- I didn't cut it, I just have my hair up here.

Great job on the cut offs. I like the semi-tuck best and your top drapes well. The blues are beautiful.
