Too, too matchy?

Hi everybody,
I tried this in response to Angie's combat/white/red suggestion. Now that I look at the picture, I wonder if I should have worn different shoes. Is it just too matchy?

Well, maybe you shouldn't trust me...I quite like match! And once again, the Queen of Leather jackets rules the court!

I am not sure about the blouse's texture with the pants and jacket. Take that with a grain of salt, however. I am weirdly sensitive to mixed textures.

I like the shoes very much, but can I make a suggestion (and take it with a grain of salt, as others might be responding differently). I like the way you've used the colors in this outfit, but I think the white shirt is too long for the jacket. I would either wear a shorter shirt under the red jacket, or leave the red jacket off.

I don't think it's too matchy matchy but I do agree with Karie in that I think your shirt my be a bit on thr long side styled that way. The proportions would work a little better if it were shorter. I don't mind the different textures though.

I agree about the shirt's length. I think for me it is a combination of these factors. The texture of the blouse would be fine (for me) if not so long. But I know you really prefer to wear tunic length tops. I also think that camera angle may be confusing the eye a bit. It is hard to tell when the photo is taken a bit from above.

I agree too! Love the colours and the overall outfit, but I think the shirt is a little too long here. You could try leaving the jacket open, and tucking the shirt in so that it blouses over, or perhaps even a half/semi tuck might work. Not too matchy matchy - the colours are fab!
