It's been awhile since I posted, friends! Two months to be exact. I mostly spent the summer working on a massive project for school, but other than that this is how it went (and my apologies for this mini novela and all the pics):
Trip #1
Our usual trek out to Lake Ontario (Sackets Harbor, NY). This was a total packing failure! I decided to pack mostly shorts and tees, but the problem is 1) I have only one pair of good shorts, and 2) the weather turned cool. #1 was the day we arrived, #2 is what was in my suitcase grouped by outfits. #3 is a loveably naughty Calie Ann. Most of the outfits in my suitcase went unworn. So the lesson here is: Don't believe the weather person, and pack for temp. swings.
Trip #2
Las Vegas for the Global Conference on Education. A five day trip and a packing win! Temps were 100+ (no humidity! I loved it) so light, breezy, and somewhat dressy was the rule. I didn't bring a purse, just my apple green camera bag. Not pictured was my swim suit and flip flops, I remembered to throw those in at the last minute. I added pics of the light show at the Bellagio and the view of the strip from the Venetian.
Trip #3
This one was back-to-back from Trip #2. I got home from Vegas at 3 a.m. (plane delay, ugh!) and left for Long Island at 9:30 a.m. I had this suitcase packed prior to the Vegas trip. Although I forgot to move my swim suit from one suitcase to the other, I did bring board shorts and a tank top so I wore those when we went to Hampton Beach. There are no outfit pics from this trip, but I wore it all, so another packing win! I wore my only pair of decent shorts (Gap), two capris and one full length jean. No old, sloppy shorts!
After That
A massive closet clean-out! The back of the SUV is piled high with bags for donation. This was a four season clean out of mine and DH's clothes.

J.Crew Factory striped front/white back top, Gap shorts, Gap Skimmers and Straights, "Vogue" tee (Amazon), F21 maxi, Gap hi-lo black tee, J.Crew ankle pants, Gap sleeveless tops, Loft sweater, Geoffrey Beene white denim jacket (super old), Franco Sarto Holt shoes, Macy's studded sandals, Toms espadrilles, INC patch jeans, Vogue covers clutch bag (shop in Greenport, NY), Macy's vintage-look sheer top (old), self-made: board shorts, skirts, and dresses, white Geoffrey Beene capris (super old but I love them). I'm sure I missed something but so what, it probably came from Gap anyways.
