Time for some colour ! 2.16.21

We’re about 2/3 of the way through winter here , and it’s at this time that I start craving some colour . Nothing bright , as that’s not my style nor does it look right in February light . I love soft blues mixed with warm tones and I think I’ll also do a decor refresh today and work in some blues , creams and golds to warm things up . I’ve purchased 5 sweaters this winter and all but one are one-in-one-out . This number seems about right for my everyday wardrobe : 5 “fun” sweaters and a few higher quality more basic solids that I keep for years . Any more than that and they don’t get worn often enough .

Off to the grocery store in:
Sweater - Tribal (Canadian)
Jeans - Jag ( Canadian and Wpg owned)
Teddy coat - TopShop ( sketchy provenance , probably )
Scarf - McQueen
Earrings - Club Monaco
Boots - old Sam Edelman
New fragrance - Glossier
I’ve switched to a card holder instead of a wallet , so no purse today . Love being hands free and purse free !

Thank you Angie! I *feel* more streamlined and fit* and it's taken some work this winter. 10lbs makes all the difference in the world to me. The gym opens up again tomorrow and I'm SO excited to get back into the weight room. I have my index cards all prepared, and I'm ready to work. Releasing all of the stress that came from my former work life has made me feel like a new person - and I'm glad it shows.

I rarely get to wear this scarf, and until I picked up this sweater the other day, I really didn't have anything that it worked with. (To my liking, anyways.) Pale blue anything is always on my radar, and I hope it's out there at retail this spring! Mixes perfectly with olive green too .

Gryffin - yes , I’ve worked out with weights for the past 10- 12 years , with a few lapses . Mostly this past year when the gym was open only half of the year . I’m not the model of consistency that I once was , and my body reflects that , but now that I’m semi retired and working at a world -class medical fitness facility , it’s is how I plan to spend lots of my spare time . I’m worried about bone density loss and osteoporosis . Despite what I look like in photos here , I have that body type . Deadlifts eh ? Love those
