Thanx for answering my question, Jamie. Are your shops having their own (and/or local?) consignment portals or do they buy from a bigger distributor/wholesaler?
And yes, where have been these log soles all of our lives! (I actually have had worn them in the past, think around end of the 90's....but there was only a black log sole buckled loafer and another one a grey round toe chunky flatform Mary Jane for me, so no sandals, unfortunately available in my neck of the woods back then but never again did they get another moment here:-(().

I appreciate the Utilitarian with Style of all four but the impact of image 4, similar style/different colors is so much more it's making me re-think my own color choices.

Helena - Yes, I think you put it very well. And thank you!
Indigoprint - I am honored to have inspired you!
lyn67 - I work at charity shops. We receive our inventory through donations and then sell (a small percentage) of the donations in the shops to raise money for the charity that runs the shops. I assumed you were more interested in a for profit model, which is usually run on a consignment basis. Feel free to send me a message if you have more questions - this is a favorite topic of mine .
phoebe - I am flattered! Will be delighted to see the results of you re-think!

Shevia/Jamie thank you!:-) Will do it, if will sink down on me how sustainable consignment could be in my neck of the woods...(as you pointed out in your first message-this should indeed be the key).

Lilac and silver get a thumbs up from me. Love the Docs.

Very late to this post. But love the pop of red in #2, and the all lilac!

Re The RealReal article, I’m pretty new to the site, but even in the 1.5years that i have been actively buying, I’ve noticed a real shift in how well things are labeled, tagged and photographed. In fact i bought a “coat” that turned out to be a dress LOL.

Go J/S! I will ping you when I find items in the elusive silvery lavendery lilacy color.

Gorgeous end-of-summer looks! The lilac column is indeed a standout, so perfect with the silver sandals. Are you shifting a tiny bit towards more minimalist looks? Less pattern, more solids?

I read the TRR article with interest, given my current devotion :). It does sound a bit chaotic, but I haven't experienced any of the problems mentioned (I haven't sold anything there yet, though I plan to).

approprio - Appreciated.
kkards - Agreed. On the up side, I feel like the bargains for the dedicated are even more plentiful.
April - A rare bird but delightful when found .
Nice to see you Jonesy! I am also still devoted, but I have noticed that the descriptions and measurements are getting ever more wonky. I can do ok by examining the pictures carefully and comparing the information to what makes sense but I have a lot of practice inspecting clothes .

So, related to your post, I thought of this today while I ordered a few tops to try on TRR. Colors and patterns I adore, for decent prices, and I made sure all were returnable. Wish me luck! ;-D (first two are Dries Van Noten, third is Tibi)

Must say I love the lavender outfit so very much…

Janet, gorgeous tops! I can't wait to see if they work out.
Carla, thank you very much!
