Thanks for commenting, dear Fabbers and feel free to continue adding if you had something similar happen to you.
I got lucky that I looked down .
The black shoe is what I wear for driving only so it is always in the car except if a mishap occurs like yesterday. Another bad thing was that the sole got dirt on it and I like to have a driving shoe that is clean so that it grips the pedals properly.
@Barbara Diane, I also have to pay attention to bagel bits and other even though I always carry water to drink after eating. It is something that needs attention for sure.
@Windchime, I also try a different shoe
on each foot when selecting my outfit. We must be careful about that, too.
@L’Abeille, at least your patient told you about the shoes but it feels hard to keep a professional presence when you just notice. Good try with your reply to pt, you are human too and things happen to everyone if I may say so myself .
@Joy and @Jane, the red was my outfit pair and the black is just the shoe I always wear while driving. It was the “least bad” way to have this happen, it could have been a lot worse.
@Cardiffgirl, my brother said the same thing, that I could start a trend of wearing different shoes at the same time like in the previous world cup .
@Inge, good that you caught it on time! It can also happen more often in Winter when you dress when it is dark outside.
@Jussie, so sorry that it happened to your husband too and that he had to wear different shoes all day. It is very hard to dress in the dark.
@Rachy: where was I? I was laughing at the woman in the dress in Sterling’s post... Your shoes got white but at least you did not bake them , are you able to wear shoe covers at work? They may be slippery on the bakery’s floor unless these days they make them with grippy dots?
Thank you all for making me feel in good company, if anyone else also wants to share you are more than welcome to.
