Sorry to take so long getting back to comments; I appreciate hearing them.
Sal, Angie, Joy, and slim cat, thanks for the "thumbs up" on the headband. When I asked my son his opinion, he said I didn't want to hear it. Seeing as he'd just told me I was so graceless I could get run over by a parked car, he's probably right, lol.
Star, thanks for that link. From it and Angie's comments, I'm gathering that once a belt isn't enough for the jeans, resizing would be a lot more than just taking in the waist. I'll have to think about that carefully. Today my son and I are going to the tailor with some school pants for him--it will still be cheaper than buying pants designed to fit his athletic figure. Some just need to be taken in at the waist, but one pair is big overall. I'll pay attention to what she says about that. Nemosmom, that's a good warning about having things altered.
Sal, thanks for the comment on the weight loss! Those pix are 5 years apart.
Liesbeth, Anchie, Angie, thanks for commenting on the bermudas. Shorts are such an American staple that it's good to hear confirmation from this side of the Atlantic (in Angie's case by way of Seattle/SLC) Anchie, I'm sure you look awesome in shorts!
slim cat, you must be enjoying the skirts a bit longer now. I'm finding the weight loss makes a lot of difference there.
RL, "feminine" is not a adjective I (or my son) would ever use for myself, but I'm slowly realizing through YLF that it probably is an accurate style descriptor for me.
Ophelia, good call on the belt buckle! My hair does indeed grow fast--it's back to the point where it gets clamped in my armpits. I wake up at night thinking I've been fettered--"help, I can't roll over!" lol.
Joy, I didn't even think about that with the bike, but you're quite right.
ETA: the shorts are doing much better than in their earlier appearances on the forum. Wearing the correct size ftw. https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....-unscathed https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....ous-people https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....just-flyin
