A friend and I went to see David Byrne last night, and yes, it was a completely amazing evening and I encourage anyone who has the opportunity to splash out. That evening I wore jeans, gold boots, my new suede jacket, and a Loft top. Someone in line asked me how long I'd have the jacket and I told them a couple of months. Apparently they thought it looked vintage, hee hee.

The next morning I walked down to the bakery for breakfast, heard a click clack and found that the heel had come off my right boot. So of course I was forced to go to Nordstrom (two blocks from our hotel), and buy a new pair of shoes. I gave them a good workout walking around downtown Chicago. They rubbed my heels a bit during the day, so I'm going to evaluate them again tomorrow. My cat really loved them! Even if I don't keep them, it was a fun morning. We followed up with a tour of the Driehaus Museum, a Gilded Age mansion that I've been meaning to go to for years. All in all, a luxurious staycation in Chicago. Definitely the highlight of 2025.

The blue pic is of David Byrne and his company, their names floating on the
"sky" behind them and on the floor, following them as they moved.
