Very late to the party, but I finally found some 2009-2010 YLF photos on a USB drive (I used to use an app that's now defunct, called Photobucket, to load photos to post here, anyone remember that??) and wanted to share. #1-4 are from 2009-2010 and #5 is from 2019 -- I did a photo shoot channeling my Princely alter ego for my "The Year of Living Like Prince" project. It was quite the experience to dress up in full hair and makeup and take photos in downtown Minneapolis!

Looking back, I was surprised at how much black and gray I wore. At the same time, I see consistency in my style. There's always something romantic and playful about my clothes, whether it's ruffles or a full skirt or a brightly colored handbag.

My goals for 2020 are to continue adding color and to evolve my moniker of eclectic bohemian by going back to more fitted silhouettes. As I was reviewing photos from over the years, I realized that somewhere along the way, my clothes became slouchy (I think that happened around 2012 with boyfriend jeans and oversized tops?). I'll be on the lookout for empire-waist dresses (they need to make a comeback!). And whatever I purchase, I need to accomplish it while staying within my budget.

Looking back on my hairstyle, these photos made me realize that I miss my pixie cut in my natural hair color. Should I consider going back to it?? Thanks for taking a look! I'm grateful for whoever had the great idea for this topic and a chance to look back and reflect on a fab decade in fashion, thanks to YLF.
