What a fun post Runcarla began and I'm jumping on the bandwagon with my version of Then and Now. I've added a photo from each year I've been on YFL and chose an outfit I wore often. In fact, I am still wearing all of these outfits, and all of the items are in rotation except the coated black jeans in #1. Looking at the photos, I can see how I've been influenced by YLF and the Forum because it's kind of a "trends I've adopted" history.
1. 2015: This was my very first Forum post. I was inspired by a discussion of apocalypse clothing and called my outfit Apocalypse Light.
2: 2016: Everyone was wearing ponchos and I found this great ruana to mimic the trend. I didn't like pulling ponchos over my head.
3: 2017: I first heard about COS on the forum, and when we were on a trip to England, I visited their store and bought this sweater and short dress. This was probably the last tunic I got, a style I loved but was going out of fashion with wider leg pants coming in.
4. 2018: Do you remember maximalism? This was my version. I wore this outfit the last couple of months of 2018 and recently again, last week, and that little jacket was worn about 20 times in 2019. The pants were my compromise wide leg pant. I loved the skinny leg pant style but couldn't find wide leg pants I liked so got these straight leg pants. I've also begun to wear sneakers with almost everything but here I'm sporting Angie's white pointy toe boots.
5: 2019: I finally found my wide leg pants. I began wearing jean jackets and chunky sneakers. Finding shorter tops to wear with wide leg pants became a mission, and found that the Everlane cotton sweaters worked for me.
Thanks to Angie and the Forum for helping me keep up with the trends.
