I’ve been hankering for some new pants. I wear pants most days, easy wear for work and for granddaughter care on some days. I’ve managed to edit out 2 pairs this year, one to DD1 as they got a bit tight (regained 3 kg of the original 12 lost) and one from 2018 that had 176 wears and were a bit tired plus I was tired of them!
I searched online in the usual places, found some in favourite boutique chain and some in Veronika Maine, so went to a small mall where both stores are. Isn’t it always a big disappointment when things that look really nice and suitable online just don’t fit well? I loved the ones in the boutique but too clingy, showed all lumps and bumps.
I tried a few more stores. Ended up in JacquiE, Australian brand I hardly ever frequent, maybe a bit too mass market usually when I have lots of clothes already? I do love ponte pants, so comfortable, and they had petite. I didn’t mean to buy wide legs but these had pockets, good fit, zip and button fastening and perfect length. So I surprised myself by getting them! Have worn to work last 2 days with warm layers ( it has gone cold again in Spring here) and kept them on for a 38th wedding anniversary dinner with hubby last night at the local Thai restaurant.
These are dark navy and my only other navy pants are summer weight.
This makes 14 pairs of pants altogether.
Cheers!
