Finally was able to pick the dress up from the tailor today , and it seems like so long I ago I first tried it on , I can’t recall it feeling too long . Regardless , I asked for 3 inches off , and for $14 , he did a professional job . Our fam of 3 went out for a casual dinner tonight and I thought I’d give the dress a spin . Styled it with cream sandals and a new crossbody bag ( I’m on a cream kick right now ) and gold jewellery . There’s something very freeing about dressing like this , and although this dress is a complete departure for me , I loved wearing it . I think it’s going to be a workhorse right into fall . Quite hot here still so no need for a jacket or topper , but I have picked up 2 different vintage - rinse black denim jackets that will take this into cooler weather . I really craved some makeup ( especially lip colour ) after a year of wearing none , and now that we can go maskless in a restaurant if you’re double vaxxed , I did orange and and bronze shadow, cream bronzer and soft gold cream highlighter , and a nudeish lipstick and gold gloss . Fun evening out , even if my husband pretended to faint at the bill . I swear dining out has become more expensive than ever in the last few years .
