I ordered this shirt a month or so ago, before I did my big closet clean out. It had been on my mind and on my social media feeds for ages, but was out of my league price-wise .....until it wasn't. I also didn't know if I was delusional (delulu as my DD terms it ) , if it was a crazy shirt, or what and where exactly I thought I would wear it. But something about it kept calling my name, so I ordered it at 1/3rd of the original price. Then it sat in my closet as I was so undecided about it (not whether I liked it, but whether I'd end up wearing it and where!) . I almost returned it a few times, but then in my usual passive-aggressive manner, I left it past the return date and it's now mine.

This is how I styled it today for it's first wear : errand running , a little shopping/browsing and a pedicure. I envision it with dark jeans and brown maryjane/ballet flats come fall.

I forgot how wonderful it is to wear top-of-the-line (relatively speaking of course) clothing. Not a seam is left unfinished or exposed, the buttons are shell, and the stitching and construction is just superb. It's a crisp cotton poplin (one of my favourite fabrics ) and I might have sized down in retrospect as it's a LOT of shirt, but I'm happy with it.

I feel it moves my style/wardrobe needle ahead a bit and isn't a reiteration of the "same old", a trap I often get caught in .
