I joined in Christina F.'s no-jeans challenge for the last part of May. I interpreted it as no blue jeans, and wore some colored denim.
The challenge got me to wear some of my casual non-jeans clothes and assess how I feel about them, which I found helpful.
What I discovered or re-learned:
--I'm glad I got the green boilersuit. I love that it's so easy to wear. Not quite one-and-done, because so far I have been layering long-sleeved tees with it for warmth. But still easy, and it makes me happy.
--I do have a lot of non-blue-denim options for casual pants. Some are keepers, some are not. I just took the pants in 11 to Goodwill, because I don't feel fab in them anymore. The rise is lower than I like, and I have not reached for them in ages. The sweater I wore with them is on the chopping block, too. I love the color but not the style.
--I like the pants in 4 and 10, but with the dark colors, they are difficult for me to style for spring. They have more potential for the fall.
--I like the stone 5-pocket pants (jeans, but not denim fabric) by Bianca, which I bought several years ago at a local boutique. I haven't worn them in recent years, but they are great for this in-between weather. I love that they are full length!
--I did not reach for any dresses for this challenge, because it was too cold to go bare-legged and I'm not into wearing tights and boots at this point of the year. Also, I didn't feel like wearing a dress and pants.
Thanks for reading and taking a look! I'm open to your thoughts.
