My latest outfits below - as well as some commentary on my new style direction, inspired by Lisa:

In 2014, going back to work after my daughter was born, I gravitated towards J Crew Brights - saturated solids, in pastel and jewel tones. But as my hair started to silver, my coloring became less warm, which didn't balance out those colors as well, and I also found I was gravitating towards a more luxe look.

Then blush started to tend in stores and my new color palette was born: Enter calm, pale neutrals like blush, dove grey, Ivory and black. It was very different from the colorful wardrobe I had worn all my life and I was so happy in these for the past 3-4 years, but last year, I started to feel as if I was in a rut again.i did a massive wardrobe haul and wondered where I would go next.

And again, the colors at retail saved the day - earth tones like rust, cinnamon, mustard, chocolate brown and curry brown ignited my imagination again even though I was resistant at first. I still love my previous color scheme, but I have enjoyed adding this one to the mix too, particularly when mixed with cool neutrals.

I realize that I am invigorated by change and this wardrobe had felt like a whole new me!
