My mom is leaving for a trip soon, and won't be here for my birthday, so I got my prezzie early. Bloch ballet flats!

They are SO COMFORTABLE I could spit. The lining is softer than soft. There is extra padding in the heel. They are gently scrunched to stay on the foot, but not so much that you have to strain your foot to keep them straight. The patent is soft and flexible, not stiff at all. The drawstrings can even be loosened for a custom fit.

I am seriously thinking of trashing almost all of my current flats and just lining my entire shoe rack with Blochs from now on.

If you are on Team Flats you MUST try a pair. They look so cute on too, even if my ducky feet distort them a bit.

Okay. I just ordered the turquoise since they launched me into orbit (as did the citron but my size is also gone). You're right, I love the colours.

I hope that the ribbon doesn't rub!

The cord is actually inside the shoe, so no rubbing. You can loosen it to loosen the elastic, like real ballet shoes. Pretty neat. I hope you like them Angie. We might end up being shoe twins.

Oh gosh! Those are beautiful and finding a pair of ballet flats that stay on feet without rubbing or being painful is half the battle. I am trying to decide if I can wear something that flat, or if I would have to put an arch support in. Would they fit one?

I am digging the red patent.

I'm not sure Elly. Ballet flats tend to be pretty shallow. You might be able to fit one of those stick-on arches, although I don't know how effective they are. They are VERY flat--probably not the greatest if you have high arches, but my feet are completely flat so it doesn't bother me. I feel much more uncomfortable in heels because they force my foot to arch unnaturally.

Interesting. Bloch does actual dance shoes (dd has some), but I didn't know that they also did fashion shoes.

Anne, if you know your usual European size, I'd go with that. I know I'm always a 37 regardless of what the size conversion says.

Zappos says a 37 is a US 7, which I don't think is accurate. They fit me perfectly and I am normally a 6-6.5. If you're going by that, I'd definitely size up.

Khris, I think these are what ballerinas and dancers wear in their down time? They are very pampering..

These look very similar in construction to the Tory Burch Eddie flats which I have in black and am LOVING--like marshmellows on the feet but so cute (and no gold medallion).

I may have to check those out! More often than not, i wear at least a slight heel, but sometimes -- especially in the spring -- I love a comfortable flat!

When I saw this thread title, I thought it might be about my favorite flat, which happens to be a ballet called Repetto. It's a French brand, and they're pricey, but very nicely made and they feel great. I tried on a few pairs while in Paris two years ago and loved them but couldn't decide on a color and balked a little at the price. Well, a few months later, back at home, a Repetto sale came up on Ideeli, and I pounced. I went for basic black, and they're fantastic. So if you ever see a Repetto sale, check it out!

Maya, the Euro sizing listed for these shoes on Zappos isn't quite accurate. A 37 is a size 6. And I've NEVER seen a half size in ANY shoe store in Europe!

I ordered the turquoise in a 39, which is a size 8. Some of the comments on Zappos mention that these shoes tend to run a full size smaller. Caveat emptor!

I have seen Euro half sizes. Fidjis actually come in half sizes. But it's true that it's much less common than here.

I have seen a 37 described as a 6, 6.5, and 7 depending on brand and style. In many French Sole flats, a 38 is a 6.5! I'm not surprised. Sizing is never consistent, and one person's TTS is another person's "too big/too small." I have also had 37's run quite large on me, and I am most certainly not a 5 or 5.5. I rarely wear a 6 except occasionally in sandals.

The reviews are saying they run small because they are probably going by the size conversions on Zappos. That's why I said to size up from what they say. But if you already know your Euro size, just go by that. Technically I sized up because a 37 is described as a 7, but in reality the size conversion is just inaccurate.

I think brands like Bloch, Delman, Repetto, and French Sole that are dedicated (or nearly dedicated), quality ballet flat brands are probably the way to go. As enthused as I was about my Me Too flats, I think I'm going to return them and put the money I spend towards one of those brands instead.

Wow these are gorgeous shoes. And so many pretty colours. It's a shame they don't have pointy toes, and I am hankering for a few coloured pairs of those.

Maya please post pics and let us know how the sizing goes when they arrive. I am as confused by euro sizes as I am by US sizes, as I have 40, 41s ans 42s in my cupboard at home.

Tam, you can go to a Bloch store here and try them on. I own about 9 pairs and love them. They are way cheaper here too- I got several of mine (white, violet, chocolate and blue) on sale for $45 a pair

I wear a 37 and am usually a 6 in other shoes.
