Sure! I'm happy to help another narrow footed gal in her search!
Basically, I shoe shop at Zappos, Nordstrom, and Nordstrom Rack. I am resolved that shoes are going to be the most costly part of my wardrobe. So, I choose carefully, own fewer, take care of them, and wear them 'til they cry "Uncle."
I currently own 2 pairs of ballet flats. Both are Stuart Weitzman. One is a pointy toed leopard suede flat that I wore to death until this spring. The other is a black patent round toe flat that has gotten alot of mileage too. Both were purchased from Nordies and Nordies Rack at a discount.
Ballet flats are tricky for us. You'll either pay big bucks for a killer pair of shoes, or get something that fits but looks dowdy for less money. IMO, there aren't many moderately priced, stylish, narrow width ballet flats out there. And you can forget about fun colors for the most part. That would be asking too much. If only Sam Edelman, Tory Burch, et al could be a bit more accommodating...sigh...
Currently, it's all about the sandals. You might need to wait until July/August to score some really cute closed toe shoes in narrow, unless you see something on sale that you really like (see the Zappos link I posted).
Yep...it's tough...and narrow shoes are quickly disappearing. No one really wants to be bothered with them, since most folks have wider feet on average. *having a moment of silence for narrow shoes."
We'll have to check-in on the narrow shoe front from time to time. Also, check out Cole Haan and Donald Pliner.
HTH!
