...Or do I?

Hello everyone. I return to the forum sheepishly, as I so frequently tend to do after a long absence. This one has been caused as much by major life changes as by slight anxiety as to the content of what remains my favourite internet space. The growing reliance on visual content made me feel less able to contribute, and unfortunate rumours had reached me that perhaps the tone of some of the discourse was headed in directions that I might not like. I did indeed find the odd thread that initially gave me pause...but the intelligence, passion and civility of the ensuing conversations on those topics reminded me afresh that this really is the best group of ladies in the real or virtual world, and that I wanted to drop in and say hi.

I will confess to having a number of new purchases to run by everyone too, but I won't plunge right in...I will just show that even as I try to keep up with current trends, now and again I come upon a classic Michelle look and take as much joy in it as ever. Exhibit A, of course, being the outfit below. This feels like a summer version of my magic cobalt dress of old. Both the dress and the bag are new, the shoes and jewelry are not. My style may evolve in future posts should those be welcome, but as you can see, I'm still very true to my dressy, blue, classic roots.

I hope everyone has been happy, healthy and hopeful while I was off moving into a new home among other things. Let's catch up!
