I ordered the Hobbs Saskia trench in lavender. I purchased two sizes but only model the smaller in the pictures below. The larger size is too big in the shoulders. The small is an 8UK, 4 US. This could be perfect except for the sleeves which are too short. It looks like there is an inch leeway, so perhaps they can be lengthened? The question is whether that will be enough? Maybe not. I am bending my wrists in one pic so you can see where my wrist breaks, and there is tape on my wrist because of some overuse discomfort and it ends in the place I think the sleeves should. Pics with the belt knot to the left are with one layer and to the right are when I am wearing a blazer plus a blouse. I raised my arm with both to test ease of movement and fit. The coat clearly lifts a bit when I'm wearing layers but it was not uncomfortably snug. I can easily lift two arms and would be able to drive, etc. A friend said the fit in back is perfect with the UK8 but too big with the UK10. I tried to get a side view to show how there is no fabric overlap like there is with every other trench I have tried so far. I'm not smiling in any picture because I'm trying to figure out the sleeves. Sleeves are always a problem on tailored pieces.

My friend liked the Tibi for its color, but thought it was a bit too big. The same with the Kate Spade, both shown in my previous post. I am waiting for the XS size in the Kate Spade and she thought it would be worth asking the tailor if the Tibi can be adjusted. I think the XXS is sold out.

What do you think? Is it worth a visit to the tailor?
