The Gap sweater/possible Sundance look?

So I stopped by the Gap with some Rewards to spend (those don't count against the 12 x 12, right?), and there was the sweater on sale - I effectively paid nothing for it. I got a size S as the M was swamping me.

Can I wear a turtleneck with my stubby fat neck? And can I wear this shape as an IT? I am hoping to bring at least one warm sweater to Sundance next week. Does this look work? I kind of like the extra-long sleeves which make me feel waifish.

I think this works great! You look very cozy and fab for Sundance. I think it will also work great with a statement colour in your outfit

You can wear a turtleneck for sure - this one has good balance. The arms do seem a bit long but as a slouchy garment it seems to work. In a cold climate (of which I defer to you as the expert) this seems a natural! The whole look seems very Sundance imho.

Christieanne, the sleeves are partly ribbed so can be folded back for a less long look. I kind of feel like cutting thumbholes into these - something about thumbholes is so appealing to me.

I can't comment on the shape, since I think I am the only one who doesn't like it in general. However, the tonal gray with those jeans is TDF! I don't mind the neck, either.

No, no piccie. I know, I have big sweaters and I feel smaller too, not this one. I think I have too much material at the shoulder. That's a common problem for me, since my shoulders are so narrow.

Fantastic,but I love mine and have been wearing them (because in the end I kept both colors) every other day. Seems perfect for Sundance.

I like the turtleneck. I have a short neck too and don't generally wear turtlenecks because of it. However, the few that I own are all turtlenecks that have a little room around the neck like this one (which looks great on you).

KCS, I should post a pic with my arms out so you can see the fit better. The M was like a dress on me (although there was weird variation in sizing, so maybe I tried an outlier)... But I know Angie suggested sizing up in this sweater. An XS fit me more like a classic sweater, so this was a size up already. Hmmm, maybe Angie will chime in!
