Ok, here's a rarity. "Skinny" jeans that are actually roomy on my thighs. Color me very surprised. These are a size up from my usual denim size and are most definitely roomy. The behind is quite baggy.

As Angie would say, bless the length on these. Just enough that I can wear them unrolled.

The wash is darker than I expected. I thought they'd be more midtoned.

The waistband sits about 2.5" below my belly button and fits nicely with no gaping. However, there is a lot of fabric in the crotch and inner thigh -- does this look odd to you? I took pictures in the bathroom mirror with better light where I'm bending slightly to show you the extra crotch fabric. I don't want to look like I'm sporting man parts, IYKWIM.

What do you think? I still have not taken the tags off those True Religion Briana boyfriend jeans from this thread: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....a-bf-jeans What do you think of these compared to the Brianas?

Oh! So excited!!

I love them. But I would. My TR Camerons have the same thing going on at the crotch area. It's slouch!

These look as if they fit snugger on the rear parts than my Camerons do.

Can't wait to hear Angie's take on this!

LOL Suz! Slouch I can do, man parts not so good. I was also wondering if they might soften with wear and not seem so stiff in that area (I know, I know, poor choice of word! Ha!)

I love them too. You're just not used to the slouch factor! This is exactly what I'd pictured for you, as long as they don't stretch out too much.

I hope Angie chimes in. They don't seem likely to stretch and bag out, but maybe she'll know if they have a tendency to do that. My other AGs have some give but keep their shape quite well.

I think they're great, and subtly more flattering on you than the TR jeans. (To be fair, I am biased because I prefer plain back pockets.)

That sort of folding in the crotch drives me nuts on tight skinnies (and seems inevitable with higher rises, for me) but I don't think I'd mind it on these slouchier jeans. It makes them look relaxed and on trend.

These almost make me want my first pair of blue jeans in years - especially as my thighs have mysteriously enlarged themselves this winter.

Oh - I meant to say that. My Camerons (which are 100% cotton) have definitely ..er...relaxed in that area. They don't bunch out the same way as when I first got them. They're still definitely loose and there is still an obvious excess of fabric in that area, but I don't feel so much as if I am wearing a tented napkin on my lap when I sit down, you know?

What makes them flattering is the taper, I think. It's more pronounced than on the Briannas.

Oh no! I just discovered they make them in a black torn wash that I love. And I'd just committed to not shopping at all this week, even just adding things to my wishlist. And I have plenty of jeans. Doom.

YES. These are the right size to my eye, Janet. Mine do the "crotch line thing" too. Just like my 501's did in the '80s and early '90s. Love that. And the waist is still tapered. I don't even need to wear these with a belt. I have worn mine 4 times - no bagging out. I have sold these three times over just walking in the street - that's how starved we are of non-sausage-casing skinnies. They are so worth the price.

I do wear my clothes looser than you, Janet. So may I suggest that you also get the size down to compare fits. I don't want you to have an apoplexy in a few days wishing that they were tighter.

I really like them on you! The crotch sag does not bother me; it's not, you know, a *bulge* or anything. I prefer these to the Brianna.

I am so tempted for myself, although I really, really do not need more jeans. On the other hand, I did just recently lose my slouchy straights to that unfortunate thigh-ripping incident....

Ok, I just checked back in because I'm about to cut the tags and wear today! Angie, thanks for chiming in because you confirmed what I hoped to hear. I like these more as I've worn them around the house. I agree that the waist fit is great -- I don't need a belt and they don't feel like they're sliding off me. This is actually the BF fit I want -- so funny that it's in a " skinny" jean. The Brianas are going back.

I love those on you, Janet- way more than the Brianna. I think the fit is great on this size if you're OK with a little slouch, but I bet your normal size would also look great, just with a less relaxed fit.

It's funny, I had bought those just before Angie picked them, and I love them on me, too, even though my shape is totally different from yours. I had to go down a size in mine. Well, actually I kept two pairs: one my normal size, and one a size down. The normal sized ones are slouchy on me.

I love this loose fit on you, Janet! I have a pair of slouch skinnies (Rag & Bone) that fit similarly in the crotch area.

So what the heck are the variables here? I know you are an IT with slim hips and legs, but you would think the regular size would work? Then again, I had to go down a size in my TR Camerons. Hmmm. But Angie sized up in these.

I love these so much more than the TRs. They are super flattering. Glad you're keeping them! I will also vouch for AGs, I really love mine.

I too get a polterwang from looser jeans. It's the joy of boyfriend fits, I guess.

Janet - I love these on you!! I think they are incredibly falttering!! I can't articulate why, but I do find them more flattering than the brianna's (but photos are so difficult and that may just be the pose with the b's) I hope the tags are off because they look marvelous!!

I'm a hopeless lemming. I found the black ones on super sale on Piperlime, out of my size but I just bought one size up. I don't know if I should hope they fit or hope they're too big...

Oh no, sorry for stealing them!! When I first looked earlier today they had none close to my size, and then those popped up again and I snagged them ASAP. I'm going to check back to see if they show up in my normal size, too, in case these are too big.
