I don't know why I didn't think about replacing the strap on my RM bag before. The chain strap that came with it annoys me to no end. After seeing Janet and her fab bags, I thought, why not! It's not really a dressy bag but the printed strap definitely takes it into more casual territory. A few recent WIWs to share too. Thank for looking.

Fun printed strap - looks great with your bag ( goes with sporty sandals as well )! Love your snake print jacket - fab!
Jackets and skirts ( and some pants as well ) are my new focus for the fall in CA - gives structure and some sense of authority.

Guitar straps for bags are the bomb! I'm a bit addicted to their comfort. Like sneakers for your shoulders....

You wear earth tones sooooo well, Kelly! And the new strap is perfect! Amps up the bag and a black outfit very effectively. I can see it work really well with outfits #3, #4 and #5 too

I have an RM bag like that and I hate the chain too. I hadn’t thought of replacing it. Thanks for the idea! You look great, as always. I see your best accessory in the background.

@Angie: Thank you. I so agree. I would replace all of my straps if I could--oh wait, I think I have now. I really only have two bags in rotation these days.
@Jaileen: Isn't it amazing how heavy that chain strap is? And what a loud thunk it makes when it hits any hard surface. I've had that thing in the dust bag forever! So glad to have it in rotation. Lol, Oreo had a nature call!

I have been eyeing all my bags to see where I could put a guitar strap when I get one. You look fabulous in all of your looks. I like seeing what a small change (hair up, open jacket with vertical line) does for the outfits.

Thanks, Fabbers! Glad that the strap has YLF approval. What a great way to breathe new life into my handbags. (I don't have very many--in fact, this is one of three that can accommodate a new strap but still...)
@lisap: I bought three of them for my gym bags when Lululemon outlet had them marked down to $9. They are very nicely constructed and I love the colors. Since I'm not going to the gym these days--I have found a new use for them!
@carla: The pants are Gap GF chinos. They sell some variation of these every year. I liked these because they have a fuschia sporty stripe down the side that makes them look less conventional.
@Sal: Thanks! the smoke has cleared for the most part. I see blue skies today but AQ is not back to normal yet. Can't complain though.
@nemosmom and Kyle: Right? Whoever thought a chain strap was a good idea? It's like a weapon. I'm always terrified I'm going to knock it against something and crack the glass.
@shevia: Thanks! I like to see outfits with and without toppers on others. The hair up and down is a new thing for me but I'm starting to prefer up!

I’ve ordered a new strap for my RM bag. The chain was heavy, of course, but it also made noise. Back in the days when we went to the theater (back in February and earlier) I remember it making too much noise. I couldn’t even move it without clinking.
