Time to report on week 2 already? I didn’t do such a good job writing down what I wore—hasn’t made it into my bedtime routine yet, but I did take some pictures. I’m not recording at-home clothes anymore now that I realize I have enough for our current situation.

2&3: Monday. My attempt at statement socks. Angie says they are too high contrast. I thought the point was to wear something that caught the eye because it was incongruent, but she knows over 1000x more about this than I do, and actually saw the fashion shows where they are featured.

Sunday I wore the same shirt, jeans and shoes with my pink cardigan. No socks. Wanted to wear white jeans, but they aren’t clean.

Tuesday I wore a dress I got last summer for the rehearsal dinner at my nephew’s wedding. Felt fab in it last year with fancy sash at the dinner and with tennies otherwise. Did not feel fab on Tues at first. Lack of necklace/accessories may have been the problem, so I put on a red, white, and blue (&black & white) cardi (finds). That felt decidedly better and may be repeated.

1&4: Wednesday. Mix of blues. I liked. It was a bit warm for the jeans for a while, but it was fine. Shirt was bought to wear 4th of July with red shorts, but I like it better this way. I’ve got to take better pix—my hand is covering the curved hem, which is so extreme it’s almost like a slit. I like it.

5,6,7: Thursday heading out to shop for work/interview clothes
8: also Thursday. How I came home from shopping for work clothes. Bought the topper and wore it out of the store. I might actually wear this pattern mix on purpose sometime. What do you think?

Friday & Sat. Wore my new jacket/cardi with a black empire top that has a slight pattern & my jeans.

9. Lunch companion mid-shopping expedition.

Analysis.
I repeat outfits. No surprise there. If I’m seeing the same people, as in a work situation, I don’t do it, but otherwise I see no reason not to repeat. Otherwise it’d take forever for things to get into the laundry & my “clirty” clothes area would be overwhelmed.

I don’t go out of the house in things I don’t like. Dress wasn’t hitting high happiness factor, so I tried something else.

Pink. Since when do I like/wear pink? It’s getting to be a regular thing with me. How odd.

My jeans are workhorses, as expected. Now that I’ve gotten the deal on my other new pants straightened out, I can start wearing them too.

My backpack looks like it belongs to a teenager popping bubble gum, but has been good to me. The size is just right for popping in a few things that I pick up around town, and it has snaps that let it expand a bit if I get a little more. After that, the shoppers come out. The pattern on it mixes easily with everything I own. It is not a work bag, but has given me a good feeling about a backpack for work. I haven’t carried one regularly since student knapsack days.
