I bought these Me + Em convertible side stripe track pants over two months ago, on a very good sale, as I’d been stalking them for almost two years. The color scheme is one of my favorites and I love a side stripe!
When they (and one other pair of pants I’ll share later) arrived, they were both a bit too big, and the size down was no longer available. I liked them well enough that I figured they would alter well — I liked the length as it was, and a waist alteration is usually pretty straightforward. I held off though, because I had a feeling my size might change a little after walking the Camino, and I was right!
I just picked them up from the tailor yesterday, where they took in the waist quite a bit, and I’m really happy with them now. Wearing them today with a Vince sweater (which is also roomier on me now than a year ago!), and a white tee underneath, to help bookend the white sneakers and also provide some extra warmth.
Included a pic with the side hem unzipped to show the “convertible” aspect of them. The pants are substantial and so well made! Pricey for sure, so I’m thrilled I got them on sale.
My very old but still beloved Aimee Kestenberg backpack will get an outing for the first time in a while, since I like to echo that blue color side stripe.
I’ll wear my white Athleta jacket out for a Costco run with my husband.
