I've had some great cupcakes and can make a mean chocolate cupcake, but I'd choose Team Pie. I love just about all fruit pies, plus sweet potato pie, squash pie and pumpkin pie; then there's chocolate cream pie, lemon cream pie, key lime pie, lemon chiffon pie. . . . and my husband makes a delectable pastel de goiaba, which has a cream cheese crust with a guava paste filling. The only reason for Thanksgiving is so that we can eat pie for breakfast during the days after, right?
Angie, I think sweet pumpkin pie, etc. are very American acquired tastes.
