Taryn Rose shoes: Any comments on comfort?

Since these are currently at reasonable prices on the DSW site, I'm interested in hearing about people's experiences with their comfort. (The ones on sale are Taryn Rose, not the "Taryn by Taryn Rose" line.)

Those of fussy feet, please chime in!

I am fully prepared to pay for Taryn Rose footwear if it means comfort and a great looking shoe. To date I have not found her styles comfortable though - ironic isn't it? Just can't win sometimes.

But people's feet are fussy in different ways so they might work really well for someone else.

I have to agree with Angie on this one. I have tried on TR shoes in person and been quite disappointed in their comfort, especially since they are very pricey! I have had much better luck with Clarks and Clarks Indigo brand, which are often quite stylish(moreso than the TR in my opinion).Best to try individually though, since everyone's feet are so different!

First of all, Taryn Rose shoes run small, so you usually have to size up. This makes it tricky to buy online.

I've had several pairs. The first was a pair of mules that looked good and were quite comfortable. I also had a pair of low-heeled metallic sandals bought on sale that weren't bad as far as comfort and looks. I've been disappointed others I've bought--not a good fit and not any more comfortable that less expensive brands. I stopped buying them--I don't think they are worth the price. Everyone is different though, and they may work for others.

Rats, I was hoping to hear better reports. I've only tried on a pair at Nordstrom Rack and they felt heavenly, but I've been duped before!

If you're looking for other comfort shoe brand recs, I'm generally a Clarks/Soffts/Cole Haan Nike Air person -- when the latter are on sale, anyway! [Lots of styles are currently marked down, BTW.]

IMO, Rockports have really upped their style game the last several years; the pair of heels I have from them is super-comfortable and I'm definitely open to adding more. Might be worth a look.

ps wider-but-not-wide foot, high arch, 2.5 - 3" heel wearer!

I used to have very good luck with Taryn Rose shoes. Of course, it depended on the style. Then they got even more expensive. I've had good luck with a pair of flats I bought recently (Brigid or something) but many others just aren't the same. Her main designer (Anyi Lu) left and started her own brand, and it seems like things have gotten more expensive, less comfortable and worse quality.

If they are returnable, try them! If you are interested in specific styles I may be able to be more helpful.

I have a pair of Taryn by Taryn Rose flats that I paid a disgusting amount for and they are very painful and I can't wear them.

This is all very helpful information. The consensus appears to be that although some pairs work for some people, the astonishingly high price of these shoes and their "developed by an orthopedic surgeon" mission statement does not guarantee comfort.

I'm afraid I also found Taryn Rose too good to be true. From both a price and comfort perspective, they are like comfort shoes for people with unfussy feet who want to give their 6" Louboutins a rest.
